Bray aquarium

We took a day trip to Bray were they have a wonderful aquarium. The children were really excited to see the different sea creatures especially the large fish tank which had sharks in it.

 We all then took a stroll on the boardwalk and threw some pebbles into the sea.

Touhey Family visit

My mum,Kieran, Emma and Rosemarie came over for a few days. It was really great to see them and the kids were overjoyed with the extra attention.

Greenan Farm

One of our day trips was to this great farm that had two mazes. At first we went to the museums and saw some of the animals(mostly chickens and roosters) and then we tried to navigate the mazes.

The first maze was kid friendly and you had to follow the trail to get to the center.

 The second one was quite difficult and both the kids got tired so we had to carry them .

 But we finally made it to the center.

One of the highlights of the visit were the donkey and the horse that the children got to pet.

Brittas bay Beach

Our first trip to the beach went well. Saoirse surprised us all by heading right for the freezing cold water and then refused to come out. She was shivering and blue but we still had to take her out kicking and screaming. Fionn really enjoyed filling his bucket with water and collecting seashells. Then we all built some sandcastles and headed home to get warm.

Kidzone

There was this great place in Wicklow called Kidzone which had three different play areas for the kids with climbing frames that had slides and balls .They had a wonderful time playing  and it was so big we had to search to find them sometimes.

Dublin Zoo

We wanted to do a trip to the zoo as we knew Fionn would really enjoy it. For the most part the weather cooperated but we did have to head for cover a few times. They have done a really good job at making habitats for the animals and it was fun to watch some of their feeding times.

The children had a really good time and especially loved the cow that you could"milk".

Ireland Day 1

We took our first trip to Ireland with the kids and they were very excited to see their grandparents.

 After a long flight we were all eager to have some fresh air so a trip to the park was needed.

The childrens had lots of fun and particularly liked seeing the swans and their cygnets
