Christmas Day

The house was all quiet christmas morning and we had to go and wake the children up. Fionn was so excited to see if Santa had came to bring him presents and was amazed when he came in to the sitting room. He loved all his presents but his favorites were the my little pony toys,dinosaurs and the play doh. Saoirse's favorite present was her princess chair. I got the best present for christmas when Fionn declared      "Mommy, I am so Happy!!!"

 

FAO Schwartz

Whilst we were waiting for the linklaters xmas party, myself and the kids took atrip to Fao schwartz. Fionn was in heaven with all the stuffed animals, but really took aliking to the big elephant and giraffe.

We also took a look at some of the lego displays.

The highlight of the trip was the big piano. The kids had so much fun running up and down making music.

Rockefella tree

We made a trip into the city on an extremely cold day. We managed to see the tree but it was very busy. The kids were very excited by all the decorations.

Eggbert the talking egg

After an unsuccessful trip to Adams to have pictures with Santa we tried a different approach and went to this local place which has a christmas themed event . It was very cold and there were even a few flurries to set the mood.

 The kids really enjoyed looking at the displays and there were farm animals which of course made Fionn so excited.

 The main attraction is Eggbert the talking egg.

Eggbert reads the name tags and then tries to talk to the kids. He had a difficult time with the kids names so we had to help him out a little. He thought Fionn was Fiona and was asking if "she had been a good girl". On the whole we had an enjoyable visit and will definitely do it next year.

Oh Christmas tree

This weekend we put up the christmas tree. Fionn was busy helping us put the ornaments on the tree whilst Saoirse was busy taking them off and running away. Fionn was very excited about the light abd was insistent on the fact that the tree had to have a star on top, so we purchased one just for him.

After all that hard work it was time to get the photo for the christmas card. It took quite alot of work to get a picture we could use. 

 We had some laughter and alot of tears but we finally made it.

Now to start all the christmas cards.

Fionn's first school photo

I was pleasantly surprised with Fionn's first school picture, although in his class photo he is looking at Ainsley.

Trip to Manchester

As Tim was going to London for a business trip we decided to take advantage of that and take the kids home to see my mum. My brother Kieran was great in getting the kids out and about to have some fun. We went to zoom which has a couple of different  areas. Saoirse loved the slide into the ball pit and fionn loved the play area as it had  some toy stables and animals where he also discovered the "my little ponys".and became obsessed with Unicorns.

 Next was our trip to Blue Planet Aquarium. We had a really good time and the kids were fascinated with all te exhibits. Especially the big tank.

We also went to meet Jayden at another play area called Run of the mill. Which was like a maze of foam mats, balls and slides.
